Schedule additional Forced Events such as
Shut Down or Wake Up of PC’s?
Yes, PwrSmart
allows additional control in Power Schemes
such as “Forced Shut Downs” or “Wake Up of
PC’s” these features are extremely useful
when creating Standard Power Schemes.
For
example a Full System Shut Down using the
Force option will save more Energy than a
system Hibernate and if enabled on your PC’s
the ability to Wake Up PC’s as required
could be invaluable if PC’s were to receive
software updates on a certain day or time of
day.
These actions in PwrSmart are known as
Schedule Events and will override any of the
setting created in the Standard Schemes
section as described above

Can we Force
the PC to ignore the PC Power Schemes
setting when a certain application is open?
Yes,
PwrSmart has a section named “Software
Exclusions” which will ignore the assigned
Power Management Schemes on a PC if a
certain application is open and running.
This is extremely useful if a task is
running on a PC and the user did not want
the PC to close and go into Hibernate and
therefore closing the running task and
causing possible data loss etc.

Can we run
Different Power Schemes for different PC’s
and Groups of PC’s?
PwrSmart
enables your organisation to create as many
different Power Schemes as required. These
Schemes can be assigned to an individual PC
or a Group of PC’s or in fact any
combination therein. PwrSmart also has a
unique feature name PwrGroups.

Does PwrSmart

PwrSmart has a
full collection of reports which will
calculate saving based on a custom data set
of Groups, Power Schemes or Individual PC’s.
This will allow your Organisation to review
all saving by Department/Subsidiary etc.

There are two
Versions of PwrSmart what are the
differences?
Yes, PwrSmart
has two Versions available which are
designed specifically for Organisations to
have the choice of Service they require for
PC Power Management.

Version 1 PwrSmart Full Local Installation
Version 1
is implemented as most other Software
applications an Organisation will
purchase.
This
version requires an Application and
Microsoft SQL Server on your
LAN\WAN Environment and a PwrSmart
Client installed on the PC’s which need
to be managed for PC Power Management.
However,
should a customer already be using
either Prism Deploy, Prism Asset Manager
or our Policy Commander Software in
their PC environment the Implementation
of PwrSmart Version 1 is the simplest of
tasks as all the other Prism Software
applications are PwrSmart Ready and all
that is needed is an activation serial
key and the PwrSmart Administrator
Console to be installed, all in all this
will take about 10 Minutes to be ready
to go.

Version 2 PwrSmart SaaS\Cloud Based Service
Version 2
is a SaaS (Software as a Service)/Cloud
based installation. This basically means
that should you wish to start
using the PwrSmart SaaS/Cloud Service
immediately all that is required is a registration
to the PwrSmart Online Hosted Server.
NetWorld UK will setup this registration
for your Organisation and provide the
required Web Based Login(s) for system
administration.
There is
no requirement for your organisation to
install the PwrSmart Application or
Microsoft SQL Server components within
your own LAN\WAN as these parts are
exclusively included in your Subscription to the On Line
Hosted PwrSmart Server along with all
PwrSmart Service Licences, Technical
Support and Software Updates.

Does PwrSmart Support MAC OSX?
Yes PwrSmart Service Only now supports the
Apple OS X platform, making it possible to
manage both Windows® and Mac computers in
the same console. In addition to supporting
the latest OS X release (Lion), PwrSmart
Service also supports the two previous
versions that are still widely in use
(Leopard and Snow Leopard). Mac computers in
PwrSmart Service benefit from all the same
power scheme features as Windows computers:
standard power options, alternate settings,
scheduled events and software exclusions,

Can We Wake up our PC's Remotely
if we need access out of hours using PwrSmart
Service?
Yes, Today’s workforce is mobile, dispersed
and running on a flexible schedule. Workers’
office computers occasionally need to be
available after hours and on weekends.
Remote Wake gives PwrSmart Service customers
the best of both worlds – the ability to
power down systems when they’re not in use,
and the flexibility to wake them remotely on
demand. Administrators simply grant users
secure access to Remote Wake for their own
PCs. In addition, administrators use Remote
Wake to securely wake any managed PC,

Power Saving Guarantee with
PwrSmart Service Software
Our customer experience shows significant
energy savings through the use of PwrSmart®
Service. If for any month during the initial
three (3) month period of Subscriber’s
PwrSmart Service use, the aggregate
electricity savings on Managed Computers is
not at least two-times (2x) the monthly fee
owed for that same period, PwrSmart Service
will be provided free of charge for that
month period.
Within thirty (30) days of invoking this
guarantee, subscriber may also terminate the
Service
Agreement associated with those Managed
